Preschool

2.9 - 4 years old

The preschool program maintains a ratio of 10 children to each staff member. There is maximum of 20 children in this class. Our Preschool follows a curriculum supported by Connecticut Early Learning & Development Standards (CT-ELDS) and base it off of the children's interests. Families will receive daily updates from the ProCare App which include meals, lesson plans, messages, LOTS of photos, etc.,

Part-time or full-time offered year round
Progress reports and conferences are done three times a year
Opportunities for daily crafts, writing, sensory, math & science
Children are taught self-help skills, communication skills, self-regulation, empathy & independence
A large classroom which includes: a dramatic play center, block center, manipulative/ math center, science center, art/ creative expression center, literacy and calm down area.
Play based learning as well as small and large teacher directed activities
Individual cots for nap time
Spacious outdoor play area right outside the classroom which features a playscape, swings, big sandbox, chalkboard wall, picnic tables, basketball & soccer, houses & cars, a veggie/fruit garden and beautiful butterfly garden
